A Bury-based technology firm won the Best in Class Technology award at the Made in Bury Business Awards, held on 1st December 2016.

Lex Business Equipment is a family-run technology firm specialising in the supply of document-output devices and managed print services. As well as office stationery and furniture. Consequently, we’re celebrating our win of the technology award.

About the Made in Bury Business Awards

The fourth annual MIBBAs are one of the showpiece events in the Bury business calendar. In summary, the Made in Bury Business Awards seek to champion local businesses and celebrate outstanding achievements.

The judging panel chose Lex as their winner due to their ability to demonstrate consistently high service standards. As well as exceptional standards of customer care. Also, we won because we’re identifying new income streams as well as investing in workforce development.

The gala dinner features over 350 attendees, and sponsors include Bury Council, together with TowerFM. Councillor and Leader of Bury Council, Rishi Shori, says as follows.

“I take delight in celebrating the achievements of Bury businesses. I want to thank all the companies that entered the Made in Bury awards and wish each and every one of you all the best for a fantastic future.”

A great time to be at Lex Business Equipment

It has been an exciting couple of months for the ambitious tech firm. Director Sam Elphick earns high commendations as the 2016 Young IT Professional, held at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester.

The firm has also recently undergone a complete brand revamp. Accordingly, they’ve unveiled its new logo to recognise that the company now offers a much more diverse range of products and services.

Lex’s new brand identity reflects their broadened product and service portfolio, which expands the supply and maintenance of document output products, such as photocopiers to include the provision of office stationery, furniture and IT hardware.

The company, which celebrates its 41st trading anniversary in 2021, continues to use the original red colouring. It’s ultimately a nod to their tradition, as they are recognised for their red colours since its inception.

Company vehicles have been liveried with the new look, and a new website is due to launch towards the end of the year; showcasing Lex’s complete product offering.

Lex talks about the victory

Commenting on Lex’s award win, managing director, Wayne Elphick, says as follows.

“It is an exciting time for Lex Business Equipment. We continue to grow and develop, and our company has diversified to offer much more than a conventional office equipment provider. And this is a tremendous achievement for all of us. We are a Bury business, who employ local people and we are proud to continue to support the business community.”

The award was collected by director Sam Elphick, alongside Suzanne Elphick and Adam Wilcox. Lex boast a client list that ranges from SMEs through to public sector organisations and charities.

Andy Crane, on behalf of the judging panel, says as follows.

“This firm has a strong history and a proven track record in keeping up to date and supplying businesses with the latest technology for over 35 years. This is why Lex have been chosen as Best in Class.”
